Sheriff’s Office to Collect ‘Toys for Tots’

SOMERVILLE – The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office is collecting “Toys for Tots” now through Dec. 18.

New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off to the Sheriff’s Office at the Somerset County Administration Building at 20 Grove St., weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  A colorful receptacle is located on the lower level next to the Sheriff’s Office.

“This is a chance to make the holidays a little brighter for less-fortunate children,” Sheriff Frank J. Provenzano said.  “Our office is proud to partner with the Marine Corps to provide an additional toy drop-off location.”

The collection is being held in cooperation with the United States Marine Corps Reserves and the Marine Corps League, which are conducting their annual holiday toy drive for sick, underprivileged and orphaned children.
