NPHS Marching Band and Color Guard take First Place in Nazareth, PA |
|
The NPHS Marching Band and Color Guard continues to be impressive with its third straight First Place win in competition this past Saturday at Nazareth, Pennsylvania (10/11). In the stands were two former NPHS Marching Band members, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Caswell (1979-1884). The Caswells were there to support their son, a member of the Easton HS Marching Band, however they were so impressed by North Plainfield's superlative performance, they wrote to Band Director, Dorian Parreott saying they did not think their NPHS Marching Band and Guard was ever as "tight" as the one they just saw. Mr. Caswell added " I have never been so proud."
NPHS Band Parent, Anne Fellin was equally moved saying, "I can't tell you how proud we are of all of them, and what an amazing job Mr. Parreott, Mrs. Fencik and the rest of the crew have done as well."
The rest of the crew include Advisors Shannon Shotwell and Emily Fencik, who have done a resplendent job with the Color Guard, and the addition of Drill Writer George Mattis completes the winning team. Tom Mazur |
